The Government has given no green light for a government-owned office building in Adelaide to be used as a state-owned business hub.

The Government announced last week it was reviewing the location of a proposed state-connected office tower on the former Airports Council of South Australia (ACSA) site, near Adelaide Airport.
It is believed to be the site of a potential commercial office complex.
The site will be a significant development in the area, as the site includes the former Australian National Stadium.
The State Government said it had agreed a lease for the site with a developer and that it would make the site available for the development.
“This will provide a significant redevelopment opportunity for Adelaide,” Minister for Infrastructure Nick Koutsantonis said.”ACSA’s former site is ideal as it offers a site that is well connected to the CBD and provides a viable development site for new office and residential developments.”
“This is an important development that will create hundreds of jobs, increase the quality of life for residents and business operators, and bring valuable regional jobs to the city.”
The Government is expected to finalise the lease on the site this week.
In a statement on Monday, ACSA said the company had not been contacted.
The company has been approached for comment, but did not respond.
The building is currently the site for the ACSA site.
The Federal Government had promised to provide $1.8 million towards the project, but that was deferred.
It was unclear how much of the funds would be used for the building.
The decision was made last year to review the site to find a suitable location, with the State government saying it was interested in a lease to lease this site.
“The Government and ACSA have agreed to a lease agreement, which will provide the development site with an appropriate site, with access to the Airport’s rail line and CBD,” the statement said.
The land was acquired in 2015 for $4.2 million and is valued at $2.9 million.
The state government said the lease would ensure that the site was available for future development.ACSA is in charge of the airport, including the new airfield.
