Hobart, Australia — A $1 billion office building being built by the bitexCoe office company will open in Australia next month.
The office building at Hobart’s Post Office Building is the first bitex building in Australia to open.
BitexCo’s CEO David Clements said the building will be the headquarters of its Australian operations.
“We’ve got a lot of the core staff in Hobart who will be staying here,” he said.

This new building will become the headquarters for BitexCo in Australia.
David Clements (@BitecCoCEO) April 29, 2021A spokesperson for Hobart City Council said it was “very pleased” with the project.
It will also include a new office block and a cafe.
While Hobart city council is responsible for the planning, the project was “under consideration by the Hobart Development Authority and the Hobarts Planning Commission”.
It is unclear how much the building cost, which is estimated at $800 million, will be paid for.
There are no immediate plans to raise public money for the project, though the Hobarth City Council has been seeking funding for the building and for the site.
Hobart’s council said it would be “highly unusual” for the new office building not to be built.
